I came across this preview/trailer/thingy, and I rather like the idea of DC seeing what several japanese anime filmmakers can do with the Batman.

Looks pretty good to me. I agree with what Bruce Timm said about anime having amazing art direction. I'm pretty anxious to see what they do with Gotham.

I am disappointed that they didn't include the Joker as one of the villains (although I do like their choices otherwise). It just seems to me that the Clown Prince of Crime is a perfect fit for the anime style.

Then again, maybe that's why they didn't use him...

According to the information on Wikipedia, it's going to have six animated features, all of which serve as a bridge between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. Since only three villains were announced (Deadshot, Scarecrow - apparently finishing up his storyline from the first movie? - and Killer Croc), I'm wondering who'll be in the other three.

I'm hoping that the silver screen actors (for Batman, Gordon, Scarecrow, etc.) will lend their voices to their characters in this work.
