Battle Box Spell Templates Question

I still think a wire-overlay would be great, but I also will buy the Battle Box the second I can get one :)

And there is a company on the net that makes qire overlays (sqwuire?), but they're pretty expensive. Given that I don't like miniatures or battle maps, it's too expensive for me.

Yes, thats Steel SQwire: http://www.steelsqwire.com/prod01.htm
They are a bit too expensive for me, and while neat, I can't justify the extra expense vs. the amount of use they would see in my games. I'm very happy with the templates I have made, and with the ones from the BattleBox.

Okay... okay... you're all right. I just needed a little hand-holding to help me get over my fear of destroying things.

NOOOO!!!! You cut it??? NOOOOO you're the most horrible person ever! Do you realize what you've done???

Horrible horribly horrid horror or a horribly horrorfull deed.

sorry I couldn't resist. :)

Hi,

What else is in the Battle Box? Are there cards with stat blocks for all the summoned creatures on them?

Cheers

Richard

Hi Rich,

Nope, no stat cards for Summoned Creatures. There's a bunch of "Action Cards" that give step-by-step details on most combat actions, spell templates, spell counters (for Spiritual Weapon, Teleport circle, and stuff like that), a fold-out dungeon-themed battle mat, rules for overland pursuits and Alert Factor, plus a d20.

I should mention that it's now available at the EN World shop as well, as listed on the front page.

So... as far as the spell templates go... Have those of you who use them but them out, or do you use them in the whole sheet format and just try to figure it out?

The side of me that wants to make these as useful as possible is battling the side of me that hates to cut things up. I can't decide what to do. What did the rest of you do?

I plan on scanning them, editing and saving each template in Photoshop. then Printing them on transparancy sheets to use for my game. This way I dont damage the original sheets.

I did the same thing with the range templates in the HERO Resource kit and that worked marvelously.
