Battle grid suggestion

We took the battle grid out of the back of the DMG and had it laminated. You can use wet erase markers on it this way. We have been using Vis-a-Vis overhead pens for this. However, this isn't completely satisfying because you can't make heavy lines, so dungeon walls, etc., don't stand out very well. I went looking for wet erase markers with bigger tips. I couldn't find any that were designed for overheads, so I thought I'd take a look in the kids art supplies section, just in case.

Long story short, I bought some Crayola brand "Window MEGA Markers." They work like a charm! Not only are the lines nice and bold, the ink also dries better and cleans up easier than the overhead pens.

I suggest their use to anyone who uses a laminated battle grid.

I'd also suggest looking into Staedtler Lumocolor pens. They're wet-erase, come in a variety of colors, and if you look online or in a drafting shop, you should be able to find them with varying thicknesses, from super-fine, to 1-inch wedge-point tips.

They're definitely my favorite pens, even if they are slightly more expensive. Oh, and they're refillable. :)
