“We have assembled a team of great writers and minds in the game and fiction publishing world. This team will help ensure that not only does Battlefield Press survive, but it also thrives” says Adam R. Thompson, President and Publisher. These leaders and creators include:

  • Adam R. Thompson, President and Publisher
  • August Hahn, Manager and Coordinator, Freelancers
  • Daryl Mallet, Managing Editor of the Battlefield Press Fiction line
  • Chris Halliday, Line Developer for Dinosaur Protocol and Pulp Fantastic
  • Christopher Helton, Line Developer for the Open Core rules system
  • Mike Lafferty, Line Developer for Kaisers Gate
  • Cameron Lyle, Line Developer for Savage Bloodshadows
  • Stephen J. Miller, Line Developer for Gaslight Victorian Fantasy

As they author new gaming and fiction options, these individuals intend to honor and elevate Jonathan’s amazing work. “Since taking over the company earlier this year, my efforts have been focused on fulfilling the past obligations we have to our fans and supporters while also planning new products and new ways to build on the excellent foundations left by my brother Jonathan. We have promises to keep and potential to build upon. This new team of creatives will make certain we do both for years to come.”

The first step in this transition is crowdfunding Sherwood: The Legend of Robin Hood 5E on IndieGoGo. Originally written by Jonathan M. Thompson and Will Upchurch for a variety of RPG systems, this campaign brings BPI’s classic Robin Hood sourcebook to the world’s most widely played RPG. The book’s text is complete including 5e system information, and the campaign runs until July 12th.

The company will have a presence at GenCon 2023, continuing Jonathan’s annual tradition of connecting with friends, fans, and supporters of Battlefield Press at the convention. Battlefield Press is hosting an announcement and discussion panel on Thursday, August 3rd at 4:00 PM EDT. Fans and press are welcome to attend; details can be found on the GenCon’s online events listing and in the on-site program book. Adam and the team will be walking the convention floor. Battlefield Press products can be found at Studio 2 Publishing’s booth in Hall H #1929.
