Battlestar Galactica Finale (spoilers)

Let me preface this by saying I havent seen ep. 13, I've just read a few online descriptions of the events.

for those of you who've already seen it, and perhaps all the other eps, what do you think of the possibility that the Adama that interacts so spoilerishly with boomer at the end of ep 13 is in fact a cylon impersonation? it would explain his power play with the fleet, his disregard for the arrest of his own son, and if boomer was in fact a "turned" cylon, it would explain her action.

Do you think the human/cylon children are a reference to Nephilim?

All the events so far seem scripted by the cylons; the humans are so subtly manipulated that everything seems like thier own idea. It only makes sense that if they Have a Nextgen cylon that can replace someone, Adama would be the choice.

Your theory is interesting and is quite possible.

Remember the episode where Starbuck is interogating the Cylon prisoner? Do you remember what the Cylon whispered in the President's ear?

"Adama is a Cylon."

Except that you really can't trust anything that his model says. Unlike Boomer who is more sympathetic, or Six who is more direct, he's a sneaky little one. So that is entirely suspect.

Also keep in mind that we know of not one, not two, but three Adamas - Zak, Lee, and the captain. Any one of the three could have been meant. Wacky Theory - Zak Adama was a Cylon, and that's why Caprica-Six knew Starbuck. The first experiments were to have male Cylons impregnate female Humans, but that didn't work out so they had to do the reverse.

I checked, and it's Starbuck's knife that kills Six. Six had the arrow and she fell with it... my mistake.

Finally, the final episode is just as powerful watching it the second time. Just thought I'd share. :)

I think (any) Adama being a Cylon was a lie, unless it happened in the last few episodes.
If he was a Cylon, this would make several of the past emotional conflicts meaningless (especially Act of Contrition), and I don´t think that is something Moore and his crew would want...
This was made to put not only Roslin, but also the viewers off balance ...

Agreed. I don't think that any of the cylons are known personalities - too much risk in setting that up, and they'd have to have some way of copying the originals memories into the cylon version.

Ellen Tigh is the only candidate I can see for cylon (for rather obvious reasons), but I can't see Commander Adama being one.

I just finished watching a marathon of the last 4 eps. I have no words. Really.

After re-watching all 13 eps of Firefly a few weeks ago and now this I am in genre heaven. No comparisons, no witty stuff, just flat out quality TV.

Seriously. I will be crushed if we don't get to see what becomes of all of this. After Farscape and Firefly having something similar happen I don't know if I can take that.

presumably, with Adama out of action, that puts Tigh in overall command of the fleet, which could be interesting.
Especially with his wife possibly being a cylon.

I don't believe Adama is a cylon. There are supposedly only a few models of human-looking cylons, and I doubt very much that they're in high positions - it would create too much of a risk of discovery.

Perhaps they want Galactica to find Earth for whatever reason - even if it's just to nuke it!
This is the "unexpected revelation" I dread the most. "By the way, all that action in the last season was planned by the Cylons and the fleet was never in any real danger". Gah.

My second big fear is that they'll explain some of the "oddities" that have occurred so far with an absurd time travel plot.

(Basically, I don't trust the BG writers. It prevents me from enjoying the show.)

I understand your fear - we have experienced too often.
Especially the first one would be bad - I like the cylons having a plan, but the plan should have had its problems - not everything went the way they expected or wanted it to happen...
