Battlestar Galactica WILL Reach Earth

There's been a lot of speculation - fueled by SF Channel itself really - that the series would NOT restart after the hiatus and that BSG would end unceremoniously halfway through its 4th season. The New Rag Tag fleet to join the original Colonial Rag Tag fleet - and to be marooned in space for all time.

NBC/ SciFi Channel has put those fears to rest. They are restarting the second half of the series and will finish off the season as planned.

Best news of the day. Thanks.

If they would have left this superb series adrift I don't think I ever would forgive the SciFi channel.

Good new, thanks for sharing.

I must admit, I thought you were giving away spoiler info from the thread title. Glad to see I was wrong.

And then the fifth season will be... Galactica 2008!
Cool! Olmos will look great with a beard! They'll all be great on the motorcycles! I think that Madison Pettis would work well in the Robbie Rist role! And I think that Barry Van Dyke might even be available to reprise his previous role! Why it'll be just........okay, I'll go sit in the corner too.

Well, it's good, since we could give the Galaticans some of our advanced Earth technology, like medical scanners so they could tell people from robots with glowing spines and efficient recycling systems for their starships.

That is assuming *we* are even here when the Galactica arrives. It may well be that BSG will return to earth 5,000 or more years in the future.

I am thinking that the colonies are our descendants who fled to Kobol, that Earth was abandoned due to an environmental catastrophe and has repaired itself only over millenia - and is now under the careful eye of its Guardians who await Humanity's return.

The 13th tribe were the original Cylons. The Guardians are those "first Cylons". Artificial humans who now guard Earth awaiting our return.

"All this has happened before; all of this will happen again." Original Cylons will kick the butt of the second Cylons with uber-tech. (And I suppose it is entirely possible that Roslin is, in fact, one of them - as are the rest of the "final five").

That's my shoot from the hip prediction.
