Battlestar Galatica Razor

Thanks! (Though actually, I did know that much. :heh: That old-style centurion in the museum was pretty neat...)

I was curious about the old-school cylons met by the Pegasus. What was the point of them? (Note that this is not necessarily the fault of the show, this is my personal bit of confusion.) For what audience benefit were they featured in Razor? I think they were supposed to be significant for some reason, but that was part of the story that was lost on me... :(

Well, Sharon didn't say much, but she seemed pretty clear that these were centurions who escaped the scrapping of that model. It seemed to me that since Adama saw this little basestar leave 40 years ago, these older model cylons were just out here continuing their experiments, only legends among the rest of the race.

It also helped to have a cylon antagonist who could be slotted in at that point in the timeline, and not really affect anything that's already been established through to the end of season 3.

Right, the idea is that this group of Cylons had been cut off from the others many years ago, but were continuing with their mission to create hybrids. They don't have the tech for the new silver ones nor the humanoid ones.
