you say that the next bear form the brown bear is alot better. You dont get that until 5th level. Hands up all those people that want a prestige class that last 10 levels and the first 5 levels are worse than the original character. It means for 5 levels your character is not getting better compared to the barbarian as this prestige class is meant for. At least make it on par with the barbarian.

If the only way you know of to measure "on par" is by comparing average damage per round, then the majority of the tactics in this game have completely eluded you.

A Barbarian7/Bear1 Warrior with Improved Grapple will tear standard 8th level damage maximizing builds into ribbons in a mano-a-mano matchup. Black Bear form is quite sufficient.

BTW, if your mouth is not watering at a chance to get Scent, then you have a DM who coddles you.

Agreed. Being able to transform to a freakin' huge, slobbering bear is cool. Being able to wrestle opponets is cool. Being able to bear-wrestle your opponents to submission? How is this anything but cool?
