Inu Yasha is a half-youkai (catch-all word for everything magical), having dog ears and all. A lot of characters in Inu Yasha are bestial (like the leader of the wolf tribe and Inu Yasha's half-brother Seshomaru -- a full youkai who can turn into a giant dog).
