Beating the Favored Soul with a Nerf Stick

Do the non-favored souls in your group feel overshadowed by the favored souls? Do the favored souls enable your group to easily overcome level appropriate challenges that, say, a cleric or wizard wouldn't?

If so, you might need to nerf it. If not, it's not broken and it doesn't need nerfing.

It's not currently allowed in my campaign because of the setting. I'm thinking ahead for the next campaign.
