This just in from TVshowsonDVD.com:

Yesterday, Paramount sent around the details of their November slate of DVDs, and we were pleased to see in it the complete listing of details about Beavis & Butt-head - The Mike Judge Collection Volume 1. That arrives on Nov. 8th in a 3-DVD set (SRP is $39.99 in the USA, and CA$54.99 in Canada). Here is a pair of cover art shots: we're told that this is the same box! Whoever you prefer to see, Beavis or Butt-head, you will be able to display them as the front picture of this box due to the specially designed packaging. Neat, eh?

Beavis & Butt-Head: two easily amused, suburban misfits sorely lacking in motivation, depth, and, of course, girlfriends. Each day they can be found amusing themselves with activities such as watching bad TV shows, going on a rampage at the local mall with a neighbor's credit card, working at the local "Burger World," and attending enriching events such as the "All-Star Monster Tractor Trash-a-thon." The world's two most recognized dumb-asses (heh... heh... he said ass) come to DVD in this threedisc compilation with bonus footage and special appearances.

  • Full Screen format
  • Dolby Digital English Stereo Surround
  • Closed-captioned for the hearing impaired
  • Running Time: 214 minutes
  • Content & Extras:
    • Director's Cut on select episodes
    • Music Videos
    • Exclusive featurette: Taint of Greatness: The Journey of Beavis & Butt-Head Part 1
    • Video Music Award Appearances, promos and more
    • Thanksgiving Special with Kurt Loder

For Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) owners who want to take these animated idiots with them where ever they go, you should know that a UMD version of this title is coming soon (date still to be announced). Oh, we'll probably get some hate mail for even mentioning it, because some of our readers can't stand it whenever we mention a non-DVD format for any reason (especially UMD, for some reason). Well, there are gobs of PSP owners out there who are interested, so we'll continue to mention it where appropriate! Here's the cover art for UMD version of Beavis & Butt-head - The Mike Judge Collection Volume 1:

Daria is one of my favorites, too. I knew I was going to love it from the first episode I saw:

Jane Lane: "I like having low self-esteem. Makes me feel special."

The absurdity of that statement was merely a precursor of what was to follow. I hope they come out with a DVD set of Daria.

Duckman, too, while we're at it. :)

I remember reading somewhere a year or two ago that MTV was replaying Beavis and Butthead, but the videos were edited. That is the music videos they commented on were missing, apparently because of copyright issues.

Anybody know if these DVD's will have the full versions? It really seems pointless to watch Beavis and Butthead without them being themselves as they talk about the videos.

Seconded. Jason Alexander has the perfect "Duckman" voice.

The episodes I've caught on MTV2 had all the music videos, or at least all the ones I recall. I think legally it's not a big deal for MTV to show them, but publishing them in DVD format is a whole 'nuther can of worms. That said, I know this DVD set has at least some of the videos that go with the episodes.
