[Whizbang Dustyboots]

Is it just me or does the title "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice" imply plans already in the works for a third film?

It certainly suggests studio optimism.

Oh man my daughter (age 13) would be so down for that! She adores the two recent Ghostbusters movies, went dressed as Phoebe from Ghostbusters for Halloween, and saw the new Beetlejuice movie 5 times.

Ghostbusters 3 was great!

It was kind of messy. It feels very much like they had three different ideas for the movie, couldn't decide which one to go with, and did all of them, so there's a lot of stuff happening, very little of which is connected to the other stuff and all of which feels like it needed more screen time to develop. There's a serial killer ghost, a jilted lover ghost, mother/daughter stuff, etc.

That said, my kids loved it, and I've certainly sat through worse films my kids wanted to see.
