Beholders - Help me find them

Can you guys rattle off what Dungeon and Modules you've played DM'd use Beholders? I'm thinking about writing up a beholder adventure, and was looking to scan the market to see what's already out there.

Thanks!

I thought the Banewarrens had a beholder as a mount for a mindflayer :D. Or was that from underdark in FR.... I think underdark supplement in FR has it for sure but maybe Banewarrens to.

Anyway its the best idea ever, a NG Mindflayer with a LG beholder as steed.

Best..

EVER!!

:D

There is the 2nd edtion "I, Tyrant" series which I think is fairly easy to find on ebay. Though rules don't apply to 3.x, my group had a blast going through it and still remember taking out dozens of beholders (and losing PCs) 8 years later.

That was a GREAT book... I have a copy, does a better job laying out and describing beholders (including society, physiology, personality, etc) than anything else I've ever seen even comes close too.

Vorp

How would you compare/contrast I, Tyrant with Lords of Madness on beholders. I have the latter, not the former.

I'd forgotten that one from the Banewarrens. Cool.

Know of any others from the Adventure Paths, or the first set of modules by Wizards for 3rd edition? There had to be one in some of the classic modules, right? The beholder dates back to 1975!

I think Lords of Madness used a lot of material from I, Tyrant (at least it used a lot of stuff from the Illithiad for the Mind Flayer chapter). Of course, LoM had less space to devote to the subject, so it's not as good as I, Tyrant if all you're after is beholder stuff.
