OK My PC died and for game reasons I've become the NPC berserker.. Bad side.. I'm a Dieties and Demigod Berserker.. meaning I can't turn it off. when the monsters die I turn on my party....

My eventual plan to deal with this is to save up my coppers and comission the creation of a magic item! An Inteligent waraxe of Mercy!!!! That way it can decide when I'm doing subdual rather than real damage....

I may have missed it.. But what are the requirements to craft an inteligent item?
Can PC's make them?
It doesn't say......
Also, any other ideas on how I can become less of a hazard to my party?
