BESM d20 revised edition

Isn't this the book where the new revised edition didn't contain any revised content due to a copy/paste and/or printer error so the company released the revised content for free in an SRD type pdf out of embarrasment?

or am i thinking of somthing else?

There are actually 2 printings of the "Revised edition"... the 1st printing had only very little revised content due to the wrong file being sent to the printer. The 2nd printing is the corrected one, with the full revised content. Besides looking at the title page to see which printing it is, you can also tell by the gold seal on the back cover of the 2nd printing announcing that it's a Gencon award nominee. So make sure that if you do get a supposedly revised edition, it's the 2nd printing!

I have a copy of the 2nd printing, Revised edition, but I'm not giving it up, sorry. It took a long time to find a copy at a reasonable price, but I finally won one on Ebay.

I could be wrong, but I thought the second printing of the Revised Edition also had the "3.5 Compatible" mark in the lower right-hand corner, to help distinguish it.

Just kind of an aside, what're the benefits of BESM d20 over the normal BESM rules set? The evident desirability for a copy has made me curious.

That's what the stingy gamer edition has.

If you're willing to paypal it for the $18, I'll ship it out with the confirmation number and mail it out.

I suspect it is because BESM d20 is d20 System compatible and released under the OGL, whereas standard BESM is neither.

It's a matter of opinion as to whether one likes the Tri-stat system or the d20 system. 6 stats vs 3, roll high and add vs roll under (though everyone I know who plays Tri-stat has switched to roll high for that too, which is simple to do.), character classes vs freeform creation, etc. In general, d20 is a bit crunchier than Tri-stat.

I am assuming he changed his mind or something since he hasn't responded to me in days so I guess I will try to go with the Stingy Gamer's Edition.
