Best 3.5 Adventure?

Oddly enough, the Dungeon adventures I like the most are either low level (Mad God's Key, 114) or high level (Mask of Diamond Tears, 143).

Of the Dungeon Crawl Classics in the 7-12 range, Aerie of the Crow God is great. I haven't played it yet, but Vault of the Iron Overlord is a really cool concept in dungeon crawlery!

I'm assuming mid or high level play here with an eye towards plug and play... From Paizo:

Carnival of Tears (5th, allegedly): Gross-out horror with fey! And intestines!

Crucible of Chaos (8th): Creepy exploration adventure that can be plugged in anywhere.

Entombed with the Pharoahs (6th): Great delve adventure with a twist: competition!

Cage of Delirium (Goodman Games): REALLY creepy. Great backstory. Good mystery.

I'll toss another vote here for Red Hand of Doom. It's an excellent piece with a couple good dungeon crawls, and several excellent roleplaying opportunities.

Banewarrens by Malhavok press, good mix of city adventuring, planar wilderness stomping, dungeon crawling with multiple factions (though a manageable number) including potentially uncomfortable allies with different motives.

It has an overarching LAWFUL (good) theocratic empire that is in decline as the background. For levels 7-10 I believe, about 128 pages. It is however 3e and not 3.5 if that matters.
I think Banewarrens was a lot longer, but maybe my memory is just faulty, is has been so long. I really liked that adventure as a player. Played a Kobold Sorcerer in it. Good times...

Necromancer Games' The Grey Citadel (3.0 but easy to convert) was a good mid-level romp. Set in a city on a rocky outcrop over a waterfall, it includes a good mix of role-playing, investigation and dungeon crawling. It's a great setting for games later, as well.

The Banewarrens reads well (and is about 128 pages) but I haven't managed to get it in play yet (two attempts have come to nothing!).

Bleeding Edge Adventures from Green Ronin seems to be a good series. I read through #1 Mansion of Shadows and working on #2 Beyond the Towers.

Banewarrens is long, your memory isn't faulty.

There have been some great adventures in the Dungeon APs, if you don't mind playing them not as part of the AP or haven't any plans to. Dungeon adventures that come to mind:

Dungeon 124 - The Whispering Cairn (low level)
Dungeon 142 - Here There Be Monsters (mid level adventuring on the Isle of Dread! Watch King Kong and then run this adventure)
Dungeon 137 - Siege of the Spider Eaters (low level)

I'll also toss a vote for Red Hand of Doom, it's fun but a bit longish. If you want to fight a war, that one is for you.

Goodman made some excellent adventures, as others have stated, but for something else, here's a list of a few Necromancer Games and Monkeygod adventures that I liked. There are more, and this is not a list of their best, but these are fun to play as an adventure one-off.
  • Black Ice Well from Monkeygod/Highmoon is a good adventure for 13-14th level. It's tough though, but has some good encounters.
  • Scourge of Raftport from Monkeygod is a decent event based adventure for 8-9th level.
  • The Doom of Listenshire is one by Ari Marmell (Mouseferatu) from Necromancer Games. 5th level or higher, 96 pages. This one is a hidden gem.
  • Lost City of Barakus from Necromancer Games has some nice stuff to steal from, but it's more a location based group of adventures.
