NG gets the nod of "Best" from me. After the Core books I use their stuff the most.

GR is next, then Malhavoc and then the SL books.

All IMO of course. :)

I will second the recommendation of Sword & Sorcery. I have been very happy with the Scarred Lands & Ravenloft books. :)

Best for 3.5? I'd say WotC (duh) and Necromancer Games.

I'm unsure about anyone else's 3.5 endeavors (although I know that Mongoose has noticeably dropped the ball on 3.5).

Necromancer Games: These guys are the kings of module-making. I can't praise them enough. Plus, they listen and commuicate with their customers. Just check out their forums.

Sword and Sorcery Studios: Scarred Lands. 'nuff said.

For this year's releases, I would give...

#1: Malhavoc Press -- Arcana Unearthed alone would put it there, but I also have fun with BoHM, When the Sky Falls, and Diamond Throne

#2: Green Ronin -- BotR. Skull & Bones. Wow.

Most of the others exist, but don't hit me as being as consistently good.

My favorite publishers would be:

-Kenzer & Co. (I love the Kalamar setting and the books for it never lack for detail)
-AEG (Spycraft, Rokugan, and the single-word-title series are consistently impressive)
-Sword & Sorcery Studios (Scarred Lands is amazing; who'd have thought Greek mythology could inspire THAT sort of setting?)

Most of these are not 3.5 books, but the recent revision to the core rules are not really significant when it comes to supplimental sources. Only the books that are rules-intensive/story-light are really affected by the 3.0/3.5 distinction, and I have hardly ever bought anything like that, anyways.
