Best 3e or 3.5e Adventure?

redmetal

First Post
So I've been mulling around looking at different adventures and thus far nothing has caught my eye in the way of the 3e or 3.5e books, so I was wondering, which is the best adventure out there? Which is the best for low levels (there seem to be a major lack of low-level adventures)? Which is the best for higher levels?

Two suggestions

There was one in either Dungeon or Dragon called something like ... "Tinderbox" I think?
The PC's had to protect a wooden town from a vengeful arsonist. Lots of problem solving and investigation, with very little direct combat. I liked it a lot.
I have also used Atlas Games "Maiden Voyage" from their Penumbra line. It's straitforward, and has a good mix of roleplaying possibilities and combat.
Still ... it's hard to beat Keep on the Borderlands. :)

For what purpose?

Best one shot dungeon crawl?

Best interesting drop in scenario?

Etc?

For me, it's easy to nail something down like saying (frex) Rappan Athuk is the best adventure. Or if thoughts could kill. But I can think of lots of situations in which I would not want to run either one of those adventures.

Scourge of Raftport was cool. Don't know about best but it was very cool.

Felled Hopes from the Ruins of Zhentil Keep is also a very good adventure. It's 2E so it doesnt count, just had to drop it in. :)

The two that we have had the most fun with were 3 Days To Kill and the Sunless Citedel. Of Sound Mind was cool to, and we actually had a lot of fun with the Standing Stones and Speaker of Dreams which a lot of people didn't seem to like.

Tough. It's a big fight between:

- Tomb of Abysthor
- Lost City of Barakus
- Vault of Larin Karr
- Trouble at Durbenford

I really like Rappan Athuk, but not for "best" - it most certainly will be a front runner when/if Rappan Athuk Reloaded (Revised) comes out next year.

I own all of the adventures mentioned so far, and my favorite is still Maiden Voyage, by Atlas/Penumbra. Sunless Citadel is a close second.
