Nothing's better than the original Conan film.

Personally, I choose Gladiator. Why? Ralf Moeller (starred in a short-lived Conan TV series) and Sven-Ole Thorsen (appeared in the original Conan film).

Of course, one could make a good argument for Djimon Hounsou.

HIJACK!!!

You're Ron Milius, wanting to make a new Conan movie. The time is right, what with the success of LotR, the republication of Howard's original stories and so on.

Unfortunately, you can't do King Conan with Arnold because the schmoe went and got himself elected governor of California. So now what?

I'll tell you now what. You make an all-new Conan movie. Money's easy to come by, locations, effects, swordfighting -- it's all coming together. Just one question remains:

WHO DO YOU CAST?

Does anyone out there right now have what it takes to play the Cimmerian? Or do you have to go with a complete unknown?

Thoughts?

Oh, and Ator, obviously. Thong. Nuff said.

If 'The Rock' bleached his hair, he would be a decent Conan.

Or just find some unknown Eastern European body-builder to cast. It worked the first time. :)

Maybe they'll cast Buliwyf as a supporting character or the leading villain.

And Chow Yun Fat as the sorcerer (originally played by Mako).

Ahh, you guys... you're so grown up. Don't remember your boyhood years? Everyone knows... the best Conan wanna-be is... *drumroll*

RED SONJA

Yeah... that's right. I never even wanted to collect Conan with Red Sonja on the shelf...
