D&D General Best D&D Setting?

Nentir Vale. The points of light approach is great for playing. One can clearly feel that its specifically designed for Playing RPGs. Modern Game design applied to a setting.

It has enough interesting hooks that you dont have to make anything up yourself, bur also enough empty space that you easily can add things you like.

It has a good size and it does not expect its players to know about the lore etc.

My top four that I integrate into my mashup homebrew setting.

Ptolus, theocratic empire civil war is a great backdrop and reason local things are up to the PCs to handle. Great setup for D&D Catholic Church alongside D&D polytheism.

Golarion, great kitchen sink of fun diverse strongly themed local areas.

Eberron, Great War era. Fantastic setting take on religions and god cosmology. Strongly themed fun actors in civil war (Karrn and Thrane in particular).

Midgard. Another strongly themed set of local areas with a really fun Baba Yaga mythology and things like the Chaos Wastes.
