I pretty much hang here, with an occasional foray onto Monte's boards, the WotC site, etc. But almost exclusively here.

I go to rpg.net, ENWorld, and The Forge, also in order. Againsttheshadow.com is good for Midnight.

I'm not sure where The Forge's reputation for hostility comes from, myself. I've just never seen it.

The Forge is full of "I grew tired of D&D, so now I play X" - where X is usually Heroquest, currently. Some D&D fans don't like seeing such statements. In my case reading The Forge reminded me what I _do_ like about D&D and why I play it, as well as how I could enjoy it more.
