[sblock]"As long as the PCs prefent the tragedy of the mass sacrifice from occuring, they still have a chance to win the final prize."

Oh good! Wouldn't want that mass sacrifice getting the the way of my money!

I don't know what it is about D&D, but something about this game turns even the most idealistic, noble characters into petty looters every time. I think it's a howl, personally.

"Orcus is dead and we've just saved the prime material plane from demon invasion? Great. I rifle his pockets and see what I find."

*Laughs*

This part is where the idea of D+D as ultra-high-magic/fantasy comes into play. Prior to the pocket-rifling, things are epic and people look like christmas trees. As soon as an enemy falls, however, PC's are scrounging like starving refugees.

It's just like extreme low fantasy with pretty lights on top.
