Pathfinder 1E Best Multi-Companion Builds

My group is undergoing some changes in their party dynamic since we just switched from playing in the Pathfinder Core world, Galorian, to playing in Ravenloft. I'd wager about a third of them chose to stick with their current characters, another third opted to make totally new characters, and the final third decided to take their current characters and make some changes to them.

One of these players is playing as a Kasatha Ranger with the Skirmisher archetype because he does not like dealing with spells. Unlike the rest of my group who regularly make new characters either because their characters have died or they just become bored and want to make new ones, this player has been playing as his character beginning at Level 7 all the way up to Level 11. Right now, however, he's become a little bored with the character and asked if he could make some changes, which I'm happy to allow.

His biggest request at this point is to focus on his companion. Moreover, he's also asked to give the Beast Master archetype a whirl so he can have a few different little buddies.

So my question to you all is what do you think would be the best way to building this character? He wants to focus on Ranged attacks, so I think that sticking with full Ranger (Beast Master & Skirmisher) would be the way to go, but there might be a Prestige Class we're both unaware of which could help this character concept. Is there a PrC we should consider?

As far as I'm aware, both the Beast Master and Skirmisher archetypes would be fine to have since they do not modify any of the same abilities.

Can you all think of anything we should consider while making this character?

Would reworking the character completely as a Barbarian with the Mad Dog or Mounted Fury archetypes be worth considering?

Really, we're looking for any input on how to make his companions the best they can be, so whatever you have to share would be really appreciated!

Thanks a lot!

Or let him run the Hunter class from the playtest material for the Advanced Class Guide. Not saying its perfect, but that class has more versatility with animal companions, as 'Beast Master" is part of its schtick. Its very ranger like, and not spell dependant.

I'd stick with ranger, though I don't get bored as easily.

I don't know why I've been deliberately avoiding the AdvCl playlist, but after taking a look at the Hunter, I think he might like that one. I like that it focuses on animal companions as well as taking on aspects of animals themselves.

I've shared it with him, so we'll see what he thinks of it.

Thanks a lot for the suggestion!
