You may be right, Dave. Guards, Guards! was the first TP book I read and Equal Rites soon followed. It had been a while before I picked up another and perhaps my perception of them was clouded by time and enjoyment of subsequent books. Like someone else mentions, though, they are all good for at least a chuckle.
