Best Published Modules and Encounters

Hey guys.

My players have challenged me to find encounters and adventures that are dangerous and interesting enough for them.

Ordinarily I use all my own content, but I want some outside inspiration. What are the best, hard, interesting heroic modules/delves I can get my hands on right now for 4e?

Best, Nate

You might look at some of the fourthcore stuff coming out, like Revenge of the Iron Lich. Depending on your playstyle, these might not be your cup of tea adventure-wise, but the encounters can be pretty challenging.

Oops, I just noticed you said "heroic," presumably meaning heroic tier. Revenge of the Iron Lich is level 16, so well outside that. But maybe it has some ideas you can pilfer.

Awesome! I love it.

I just grabbed the D&D essentials books too- I was using the older 4e stuff. The monsters are WAY stronger now! The solo's don't seem to suck! Ghouls are better!

This all tempts me to reboot the campaign with this new material. Thanks guys!

Anything else out there in the heroic tier?

You don't need to reboot the campaign to start using Monster Vault monsters (or to let the PCs take the new feats or many of the powers.)

I don't recall ghouls being much different though... they added more variants, of course, but the level 5 soldier version is, I thought, pretty much identical to the old level 5 soldier version (with the appropriate defense and attack changes, which, via errata, apply to the old version too), except for that spiffy new radiant weakness (which is SO stylin' btw.) So actually, I guess that IS "better" :)
