Well, I dunno if it's the best car in the world, but it's certainly got more horsepower than any other streetcar. Top Gear ran a drag race betwene it and a 10-yr old McLaren F1 last weekend - the McLaren streaked ahead of the Veyron at first, but was overhauled later.

What, are you trying to suggest, sir, that bigger isn't better?!? Ha!

Honestly, the thing that's impressive in the newest Veyron is that it is a convertible. The technical challenges in making a street-legal convertible that can do over 200 miles per hour with the top down are... considerable.

I admire the technical achievement, but it doesn't really excite me much. Not like a DBS, Carrera GT, Atom or an F1.

Oh, I won't disagree that it's a technical marvel.

But there are more attractive cars in the world (and more practical, if you're that way inclined).

I admire it as a piece of technology; I find it hard to get excited by it, as Nerfherder said.
