Best RPG buys of 2010?

Got the 4E Dark Sun stuff. I enjoyed that.

Also, Drivethru RPG had a sales drive to help Doctors without Borders. The gaming bundle was crammed with stuff like Exalted, Icons and Wild Talents to name a few. I really enjoyed this purchase. It had lots of gaming goodness with none of the guilt since it was for a good cause.

This year I bought an almost full set of Eberron 3e books (already had the core book) and Star Wars Saga Edition books (likewise had one or two things). I'm delighted with both these purchases, not least because they represent my last major purchases until 5e hits, whenever that is. My only remaining expenditure is my ongoing Pathfinder Adventure Path sub, with which I'm also very pleased.

For me it has to be Slumbering Tsar, the subscription mega-adventure from Frog God Games. We're six parts into it, with another eight to come, and already it has blown me away. A huge, sprawling, site-based campaign based around the ruined city of Tsar, overrun by followers of Orcus in years past. Adventure hooks just dripping off the pages, some really terrifying locations and foes, and fantastically well-written to top it all off. Eagerly awaiting the next installment - and the huge hardback compilation at the end of it all :)

+1

Greg Vaughan has done a fantastic job with this series.

For me it was

Dark Sun for 4th Edition
Gamma World - I have loved this game since it's 1st edition, so a new release made me very happy.

And off of the 4E track I picked up:
Savage Worlds: Explorer edition - For $10 it's a whole lot of game.
Deadlands: Reloaded Player's Guide and Marshal's Guide - This Savage Worlds setting grabbed my attention and has gotten my creative juices flowing more than anything else in quite some time.
War of the Dead (Chapter 1) - A zombie apocalypse Savage Worlds campaign (and future setting) from Daring Entertainment. Big thumbs up. In total there will be four chapters of 13 adventures each. I will definitely be picking up the other chapters.

As far accessories go, I'm loving my Fat Dragon papercraft terrain that I started putting together and using after I saw it at Gen Con.

I completely forgot about ICONS, mainly because I haven't had many chances to play. But I love the book, I love the system, and I love the shout-outs to the old Marvel Superheroes RPG.

GURPS Low-Tech 4E Hands down, it is one of the most informative rpg books I've ever read concerning pre-gunpowder era weaponry. I was already exciting about the crunch; the added fluff and discussion of various weapons and how they evolved throughout the ages made it even better.

Best RPG products I bought this year:

4E Dark Sun Campaign Setting.

The whole existing Qin: Warring States line. Now get Art of War out

Legends of Anglerre.

The Sartar book for Heroquest 2.

A complete copy of Trollpak for RQ2, which I could use to replace my missing and damaged bits.
