Best system for a Pulp/Indy game?

In the same spirit as the Yarr! What be yer' favorite system for runnin' a Pirate game?! thread, I was wondering what folks here consider to be the best game system for running a pulp heroes/Indiana Jones type game?

I have d20 Past, which has the Pulp Heroes campaign model and seems like it might do a decent job for an Indy-like game. Aside from the actual Indiana Jones games that have appeared over the years, what else is there that can do a good job of modeling this sort of game?

No other game now holds a candle to Spirit of the Century which has earned praise even from one of the designers of Adventure! and other pulp games.

And I'm not biased just because I'm good friends with the authors. That just means it takes an even better game to convince me, and this does.

Cheers,
Cam

Honestly, d20 Modern works incredibly well for this. Another fine choice is running mortals in the World of Darkness, but... I dunno, that feels like missing the point of the system...

To be perfectly honest, I really find GURPS to be the best system for pulp era games. It allows for the technology of the era, the possibility of occult magic of all stripes, and even gives a possibility of time travel. The 3rd edition book Cliffhangers is the perfect accessory for you, no matter what game system you actually use. It gives hints and tips on how to run a game in the classic style.
