Xanathar's Guide To Something Specific So That You Can Decide Ahead Of Time Whether Or Not You Want To Include It In Your Game

Because if it's really a guide to "Everything" it had better include samurais, ninjas, psionics, gunslingers, super-powers, starships, cybernetics, mechs, glitterboys, etc.

Otherwise, it's just,

Xanathar's Guide To More Of The Same

Meepo's Guide of Murderhobos. Or The DM Guide on How to regain control of your game and tick off players.
Jasper Guide to everything which is not AL approved.

I don't mind the name. It implies a grab-bag of stuff, which is kind of fun. On the other hand, if I were to read the title without knowing what it is, and I knew who Xanathar was, I would assume it is was a Realms-specific setting book, maybe Xanathar's compilation of info on Waterdeep, the North, rumors, power groups, etc. I'm not sure what Xanathar has to do with sub-classes and rules.

If the content is good and sound, it doesn't matter to me what it's called.

....it probably matters even less to me if the content is bad.

After trying to remember the book name in another thread, I've determined that almost anything would have been a better name. I resorted to "Stupid Beholder's Guide to Everything" and prefer that.

Thus, I dub it SBGtE. And, that's that.
