Just so I have a clear grasp what are some of these bonuses? Is he as bad as the Fist of Hextor? I like using the Fists against the party, they're simple +to hit ,+to str , +damage.

Just have a bard and calm emotions handy (or some other caster with it.) Let the player buy a wand of calm emotions.

If nothing else helps, get down on the floor, then you cease to be a threat.
