Nice picture Mark! And I love the name.

In regards to our setting and fluff stuff, ive decided to set the game in the Known World.

Sort of. The setting isnt really all that important but I want to give us a common starting point. The map and history are Mystara circa 1000Ac (time of the old basic Rules box set), but the deities and a few other details are Greyhawkian, like the Drow, which strictly speaking arent Mystaran..

So I guess you can call it Mysthawk (the y sounds pretty 80's I think)
. At any rate, feel free to visit the Vault of Pandius for fluff if you want.

I was going to do a shameless bump, but I see we have the second PC up. I am fine running the game with 3, and we can always pick up another player later.

Ive also been rethinking two other things- first as far the setting goes, here is a nice shorthand primer of the various nations of the world. Ive also decided we will use the default pantheon of Immortals for the Known World- I like the idea of non intrusive deity-esque beings. Info for this can be found here.

Again all of this is a framework on which to hang the game; a great deal of knowledge in all of this is not required; but I just want it accessible to everyone. And it just adds to the fluff and detail.

Finally and perhaps most importantly, in looking over the various adventure ideas I have, I think it would be best if everyone takes full hp at first level.

Sound ok?

/Squeals with glee.

Welcome Tailspinner. Recruiting is now closed.

When everyone is doen with chargen, I'll begin to get the game going. I know we may go hiatus around July 4, but if possible we can start before, or at least lay the groundwork.

shameless bump 2

So just to keep the thread on the front page I present the company:

Barton of Rosevale, Human Cleric
Kira DeVille, Human Thief
Kronk Madaxe, Dwarf Fighter
Nameeless, Elven Wizardress

The names seem suitably old school to me :)

I'm still searching for the right adventure to begin with.I have nearly a dozen to choose from. I think Ill eliminate Heroes are Made not Born since the gimmick of PCs with NPC classes doesnt really translate to Basic Fantasy. Looking for something that fits the PC's strengths and is... fantastical. Seriously, I want to get as much bang for the buck funwise.

If you wish, post as much or as little background about your PCs as you want. I dunno, maybe it'll help me decide.
