Fine. It's a good saying. But what if you know there are evil people out there that want to bring harm to you and will continue to do so? Then what? What if forgiving them won't stop them from killing you?

I'm all for forgiveness but when it puts your own self-preservation and safety in jeopardy. You can forgive but you can't be so naive into thinking you don't have to defend yourself. Don't confuse revenge with self-defense.

But two eyes for an eye leaves your opponent blind and you with only a -2 circumstance modifier.
