Bite Attack

OK so I'm going to use a Tendridulos against my PCs.

What I want to know is can it bite someone that is 15' away (cause that's its reach) or does it have to be adjacent??

For that matter is a bite attack used at the creature's reach or not?

Yes -- all attacks use the same reach unless otherwise specified (like for an Assassin Vine or a Kraken). For flavor purposes, remember a Tendriculus is about 15 ft. tall, so it can bend out and over to bite someone.

And remember, this is not a CR 6 monster like the manual says.
This can be a TPK, unless they play smart.

Tendriculous is a very tough CR6. I'd put it at CR 8 or so. I have never had PCs defeat one, though I've used it a few times. When encountered, they usually beat up on it for a period of time and then flee when it doesn't die. Unlike other beasties, most PCs have not memeoirzed the abilities of this beastie.
