Henry did a pretty useful spreadsheet for figuring out spells. Still not instantaneous, but good enough that if you had your common stuff laid out, you could tweak range or targets, etc., very quickly and still have the right DC.

What Green Ronin sale? What is dirt cheap? I went to the Green Ronin website and saw the Black Company for sale for $40 or so?

I will chime in on the positive side. The books, especially the original trilogy and the Silver Spike, are great.

The magic system isn't extremely difficult, but then I use True Sorcery with True 20, however I received a lot of inspiration for the spells from the Green Ronin forums. The game is gritty, dark and warped. My players really enjoyed the setting and I agree that if you pick up the setting book at the Green Ronin sale you are getting a great deal.
