It was cool... but since we were all 3rd level, we decided to run like hell once it split in two!!

No doubt the best course of action when faced with such an ooze!

I also slap on size modifiers as it splits. After all, a Huge ooze that's been split a whole lot of times will now be Tiny, and that's going to affect a lot of its abilities and attacks.
