Blackrazor gives Haste for 10 rounds a day, plus whenever you reduce someone to -1 hp or more they get subjected to a Death Knell spell (+2 Unnamed Str bonus, +1d8 temp Hp's, +1 Caster level for 10 min. per HD of the creature killed....... Since these bonus's are unnamed, they stack.... So a wielder can sacrifice 10 1HD creatures-and get +20 Str, +10d8 temp Hp, and +10 caster levels if a caster).....

This Sword RULES.....

I believe that unnamed bonuses from the exact same source generally do not stack. No reason you couldn't make it an exception in this case, of course.

It's also worth noting that the new Arms & Equip guide doesn't actually consider Blackrazor an Artifact at all (it's in the intelligent items section instead) and gives a price for it (not real high, either).

Blackrazor was never an artifact.

It's always been an intelligent weapon.

Some have treated it as an artifact mind you by making it industrictible but others, including my old GM, destroyed it through damage.

Oh? I'd never seen it before 3rd--I was actually pointing out that the thread title is wrong. From the commentary I had guessed that it used to be, but apparently I was wrong.

So... In response to a thread called "Blackrazor the feeble" I will start this thread....These are "Official" Stats for BlackRazor as per the Arms and Equipment Guide...

Blackrazor + bucket of snails + Great Cleave....

But more seriously, you could actually have the evil guy always followed around by a pack of blind kobolds as "sword fodder", just waiting for the PC's to show up...

I remember DMing S1 - White Plume Mountain; when the characters had gained Blackrazor only the thief had a combatable alignment (which they found out through trial and error!).

Even as a naive youngster I realised it was overkill and limited its effects to 10 rounds but he still became the dominant fighter in the group . . .
