Blade Runner - The Final Cut

Basically what I would want would be Bladerunner 1.5 -- bring back about half the voice-overs so you don't just have long, silent, rather pointless pans of the city (and also to underline plot points), but to leave in the proper "ambiguous" ending.

That's exactly what I would be looking for. I was surprised to find out that Ridley Scott didn't like the narration. This was my first film noir, and so it set my expectations for films in that genre. When I saw the director's cut later on, I was suprised at how much I missed it. :(

Great... now I'm being accused of having a diet of creepy crawlies. Ugh. :p
If you had only said "Diet of Worms", there'd be a whole different breed of pedant on your back! :D

But that "porn jazz" soundtrack is one of the reasons why the film is so memorable. It fit in perfectly with futuristic noir atmosphere Ridley Scott created for the movie.
It fits perfectly MUCH of the time, but not ALL of the time. In particular, when the scene is "dude being awakened by piano music", it might be better to hear some quiet, and then some piano music. (Instead, we got loud porn jazz the whole time.)

It's one of my few complaints.

I'll have you know that the Diet of Worms was very important event in the formation of Protestant religion. As a kid I had the same image of the event that most folks do, just hearing the name....)
