Blade the Series

So is anyone still watching this? I have; it's kept my interest well enough and still has not focused on Blade or his crappy fighting much.

Haven't seen anything about this series, so I was wondering what other people thought of it, assuming I'm not the only one continuing to watch it. ;)

I'm still watching the show despite the fight scenes (the cartwheeling of the vamps made me dizzy tonight). Chase does have a cute bare butt.

I haven't watched this weeks, yet, but I'm still watching the show. I have to say that I'm actually enjoying it, overall. I'm also okay with the focus being more on Krista than Blade. She's a better actress, has a more interesting situation, and is a more likable character.

I gave up after a couple of episodes. I wanted to see Blade kicking ass, not Vampire Soap Opera...

EDIT: According to Wikipedia, more than have the viewers lost interest, too:

The series premiere had 2.5 million viewers, was the most-watched Original Series Premiere in Spike TV history, and was also the #1 show on cable for the evening with Men 18-34 and 18-49. Since that time, however, it has gone down by more than half in ratings (by the fourth episode - 1.07 million). The show has also failed to retain acceptable numbers in Spike's target demos of men 18-34 and men 18-49.

Not my favorite show of all times, but one that I watch regularily.
Tivo makes sure that I actually get to watch the show otherwise I would not be able to follow any show with regularity.
I don't care too much for Blade, but it seems that the show isn't going to really focus on him, but more use him as a pivot point and motivator for the other characters.
For some reason I don't care for Chase at all, but Krista is much more pleasing to me and probably the only reason that I continue to watch.

Don't like Chase! I think she's part of the main reason I watch the show, even before they showed her behind.

As for Blade kicking ass, I think they would have had to find a different actor, perhaps one actually skilled in martial arts, to have that sort of show. That's probably why many people don't like it; it has a totally different feel from the movies. It has to have some considering the different types of media, but this is a little too different...

A part of me thinks that this show would be a little better if the name Blade wasn't related to it. Too many people disappointed because of their expectations of what they expected v. what actually occurred.

Edit: Blush? Oops, totally meant a different smiley. Wanted the  one.

Don't get me wrong, she has a great behind. :) It's just that the "Blade is little more than a cameo in his own series" is a bit too much like the godawful Blade: Trinity (supposedly, characters from that film are going to appear on the series, too).

Overall, this show reminds me of that old Kindred series. Anyone else remember that?

BTW, like I said, I've given up on the show, but I thought I heard them mention that the girl could cure herself with that serum. Is that true? If so, why kill vamps instead of curing them?
