Bladesinger Tattoos

Shallown

First Post
Back in 1st or 2nd edition the Blade singers had animal motif tattoos on their skin. My present bladesinger player has continued this tradion in 3.5. what I need is an idea for different tattoos and what they may mean.
so far I have.

Bear = strength
Boar = toughness
Viper = speed
Tiger = ?
Lion = Pride/honor
Hawk = awarness
Leopard = speed

Can anyone think of any others?

Think alos that bladesingers are champions of the elves so I want to stick to forest/jungle/plains animals that elves would think of as symbols.

Also due to circumstances beyond the Bladesingers control he would also accept dwarven symbols that do not have to be animals neccessarily.

thanks

I had a bladesinger in 2E who used a shortsword and his guild tattoo was a hummingbird. Heron and crane would be good tattoos signifying elegance and poise. Wolf (or dog) would be a good symbol for perserverance.

Although not a bladesinger thing, if a character in my FR campaign wants to get a magical tattoo that boosts an ability, then the tattoo appears to be an animal linked to that ability. Here are what I've had...

Strength = Bear
Dexterity = Cat
Constitution = Boar
Intelligence = Fox
Wisdom = Owl
Charisma = Eagle

So basically, they are the same animals mentioned in the stat-boosting spells.
