Blessed Solstice

The Solstice is 'today' (Winter or Summer depending on your hemisphere) a time of celebration, a time of dread when the Sun stops in the heavens and goes from his Summer to his Winter bride (or vice versa as the case may be).

So does the Solstice (or similar astronomical event) feature within your game world and what does it portend?

Oh and have a wonderful day.....

There's 2 major religions IMC. One's Catholic-based, the other is Wicca-based. So those type of celestial events are important IMC for the Wicca-based folks. Pretty simple :D

I must admit, I haven't really factored the solstices or equinoxs into my campaign, although this thread makes me realize that I should.

In truth, I just wanted to post to wish everyone a happy solstice!

The seasons imc (unbeknownst to the pcs) are actually caused by a 'wobble' in the orbit of the sun (which is slowly getting worse). Thus, the solstices, rather than being longest day/night of the year, is the day with the largest wobble towards the 'center of things' (the isle of Forinthia).
