Blink and Impr. Precise Shot

Sejs

First Post
Pretty straight forward question - would you apply the benefits of the Improved Precise Shot feat to the 20% miss chance a character under the effects of a Blink spell suffers?

Argument for: part of improved precise shot is knowing when to shoot, in addition to where to shoot.

Argument against: the miss chance isn't expressly listed as being due to concealment.

Also, would a ghost touch weapon make the point moot?

Edit: closed a question with a period. Me fail english? That's unpossible.

Nope, it doesn't apply.

Nope, ghost touch wouldn't help. If that arrow fires while you're on the ethereal, it ain't hitting the material no matter how ghost touched it is.

This one wins. IPS negates concealment, not "anything with a 20% miss chance" and it's for the target not the archer.

Stickier.

From the SRD said:
Ghost Touch: A ghost touch weapon deals damage normally against incorporeal creatures, regardless of its bonus. (An incorporeal creature's 50% chance to avoid damage does not apply to attacks with ghost touch weapons.) The weapon can be picked up and moved by an incorporeal creature at any time. A manifesting ghost can wield the weapon against corporeal foes. Essentially, a ghost touch weapon counts as either corporeal or incorporeal at any given time, whichever is more beneficial to the wielder.
So the magic word is "incorporeal". If you go look that up (too long to quote) it says nothing about being ethereal. It says they have no physical body. Therefore incorporeal is not the same as blink, therefore ghost touch would not help.
