Blogs for Story Hours

So I spent some time this morrning looking over our new blog functionality as a method to implement story hours and it looks pretty good, but I have one question/concern.

While on this page you see all the latest updates to all the blogs, on the main page of any blog the most recent post is listed first, which I don't see as very condusive to new readers, or reading it in order, or not being spoiled if you are a few posts behind (see how part deux comes before part one?).

The actual post pages themselves (like this one) are fine because the 'previous' and 'next' work in chronological order.

So my question (for MM) is, is there a way to change the default view on that main page? Or is a branch of the blogs be made/hacked to be viewed that way for the purposes of posting story hours possible/easy?

And thanks to Jack99 for the use of his blog as an example. :)

Many blogging sites such as LiveJournal allow you to "cut" certain parts of your posts, so they will display a "Read More..." link in place of that text. On some sites you can also organize posts to "float" at a certain spot. For instance, you could set the welcome post to always be underneath the most recent entry. If EN2's blogging code doesn't have features like these, implementing them could probably do some good. Of course, with the other issues that need fixing what with a major site redesign, I imagine this would end up pretty far down the list. ;)

I don't see a way to make them list chronologically at the moment.

Perhaps for now you could put a link to the first post in your blog description and explain that it's a story hour and is best read chronologically. You could also include a bit of text at the beginning of each post that says something similar, but that takes a bit more work.
