Blood and Space 2: Cosmic Fury

Basically, if you have Blood and Fists you're going to get some new martial arts styles based around science fiction themes (Singularity as a stealth/assassination style), and science fiction concepts (3 flavors of Beam Sword Fencing- Power, Speed and Mystical) along with some classes that tie into those concepts (the Beam Sword Kensei).

All these styles are done in the B&F style with mastery and bonus feat lists. Each style also has a few unique maneuvers.

I wont lie to you, there is also some stuff in this book you already have if you have B&F, including one of the classes (the Living Weapon is really close to the Martial Arts Master) and some of the common maneuvers (Bear Hug, Circle Kick, etc).

But there's still a lot here if you have B&F.

Likewise, if you have Blood and Space II books, there's some things for you here and some things you already have (mostly from the Prometheus Rising setting which is part of the B&S II line).

One of the styles also appears in Prometheus (Hopboxing) as does its signature maneuver (Hang Time). There are also some NPCs, two of which are Beam Sword Kensei and two are major NPCs from the Prometheus setting.

Hope this helps :)

All right, so I have plenty of money to burn. Is there any advantage to buying both Blood and Fists and Cosmic Fury, or is it like getting Arcana Unearthed and Arcana Evolved?

Cosmic Fury has several new styles, feats and a class that are not in Blood and Fists.

Whether or not that's worth it, well Im biased so I'll leave that one to you :)

So, Cosmic Fury does not have everything that Blood and Fists does?

Correct. Cosmic Fury has none of B&F's real world styles (Karate, Kung Fu etc) in favor of more futuristically themed styles such as Bug Hunter (for you wannabe Roughnecks), Machine Slayer (for you wannabe Sara Conners), Beam Sword Fencing (for you wannabe... well you get the idea) etc..

Cosmic Fury has a pared down manevuer selection (though it has several new maneuvers not found anywhere else), just enough maneuvers to make it standalone.

Edit: In short there's things in each book the other doesnt have. Yes it was my goal to make you want both :)

(And did I mention the other fine B&F products?) ;)

Cool! 'Cause it worked–I want both. :heh:

I just want to jump in here and state that while I don't have Cosmic Fury (YET!), I do have both Blood & Fists, as well as a couple of the Blood & Space 2 line. All very worthwhile purchases.

In fact, thinking back now - any of you familiar with my (stalled) storyhour, Border Wars, may like to know that I adapted the Blood & Fists books into that setting, with spectular results. I may just have to purchase Cosmic Fury just to see how close they came to what I did.

I've been thinking about cleaning up and getting most of both lines (Blood and Fists and Blood and Space 2). I may actually do it tomorrow, or maybe next pay day...
