To all my fellow DMs and players

I apologize for my sudden absence the past week and a half. I became quit ill ten days ago and what was thought to be a simple stomach virus turned out to be my apendix on the verge of bursting. Thankfully I was able to make it to the hospitál in time though surgey was still required. I am still at the hospital but will be released within a day or two. Once I get back home I should be able to start to catch up, given that my toons still live :heh: ha ha.

Hey Blood. Sounds like it could of been really nasty. Glad to hear that you made it to hospital on time.

That happened to a DM I once had for a tabletop game. Except in that case he was a compulsive lier and he'd actually just flaked out on us. We didn't realize it until we got an e-mail from his pissed off girlfriend explaining things and apologizing for his behavior. Actually I think it was his ex-girlfriend. :p Hope this silly story cheers you up.

I remember when I was having problems with my appendix. They didn't remove it though. I was 6 or 7 years old, and I laugh about it to this day, but when I said my stomache hurt and I felt like it was cramped up, my mom yelled at me that "That doesn't happen to boys" and poked me right where the pain was coming from. Needless to say that hurt a LOT, and I essentially fell over into the fetal position and didn't get up. She thought I was faking something to get out of school. :p

Good luck with your recovery. That was the only time I've ever had to stay overnight in a hospital, and it sucked.

Glad to hear it was caught in time BW.

I had basically the inverse situation when I was a teenager. All the symptoms of appendicitis with imminent risk of bursting appendix so there was an appendectomy. It turned out to be a "white worm" (healthy appendix) and I was in the hospital recovering from surgery still suffering from a virus that at first mimmicked the symptoms of appendicitis, then got worse.

Hey Bloodweaver, good to see that you are recovering and I wish you the best. I sometimes wonder if people that sometimes drop out of cyberspace become very ill or worse and that I'll never know about it. I'm glad you ended up being alright.
