Bloodless

Bloodless is a template from CCII by Sword and Sorcery Studios. What is the level adjustment for the bloodless template when applied to a character? The creature stat block suggests a CR adjustment of +2, yet in the example provided of a 10th-level cleric, the CR is listed at 9. I'm thinking one of two things, 1.) either the book contains an error or 2.) I'm an idiot who doesn't know how to read a template entry. :heh:

I'd have inquired at the SS site run by WhiteWolf, but because the setting is no longer being supported, traffic is woefull over there.

Yes, that's why I asked what the level adjustment was...the book lists only CR +2 for the template when applied to monsters. The book does not list a LA, despite there being an entry specifically devoted to Bloodless as characters. Additionally, the sample NPC entry also seems as if it is in error, leaving me to wonder in general as to the editing of this portion of the book!

If anyone knows where an errata may be found for SSS's CCII, I would be very grateful for your suggestion and/or link. Conversely, if anyone knows what the LA for the template is when applied to characters, I would also be very grateful for that information. I'm also open to suggestions for where else I might have luck on the net with this question...as was stated in the first post, the SSS forums are by and large dead.

Thank you much.

Well... to this, I can only say, that the concept of 'Level Adjustment' wasn't truly introduced until 3.5. CCII is a 3.0 book.

Try contacting Nightfall. :)
You might not get an 'official' answer, but it's the next best thing. He's the local Scarred Lands sage and he posts here frequently.

Just don't expect an unbiased opinion when it comes to Scarred Lands stuff. ;)

Excellent point, Pants, and one which I'd forgotten, thank you! And I will indeed contact Nightfall; I'm familiar with him from his time at Mortality.

Thanks again.
