Blown away

So I've had my eye on Arcana Unearthed as book I'd really like to have...but just couldn't afford. Talking with my good friend who bought the book it seemed rich with ideas and concepts that I would really like to consider in my gaming.

Then last night, he hands be a yellow plastic bag (a trade mark of Game Towne merchandise here in San Diego) and inside I find a copy of AU signed by him telling me he wouldn't want me to miss out on such a great book (I'm paraphrasing here).

I am still Blown Away.

ForceUser, thank you very much.

That is very cool, also because AU is such a cool setting in general. Hopefully you guys will be adventuring in that setting soon!

Well I've been hard at work on my next campaign for quite sometime now. So I wouldn't think they'd be in the Diamond Throne world. But many aspects of MCs book may find their way into my game to enhance flavor and verisimilitude.

You know, it occours to me there has been a bit of this going on... My group gave me the 3.5 books, there was another incident a week or two ago of people gifting a DM, and now you...

Maybe it's the start of a great new trend!

Congrats!

And here I thought this thread was going to be about the blown away game mechanic:
Blown Away: Depending on its size, a creature can be blown away by winds of high velocity. A creature on the ground that is blown away is knocked down and rolls 1d4 x 10 feet, taking 1d4 points of nonlethal damage per 10 feet. A flying creature that is blown away is blown back 2d6 x 10 feet and takes 2d6 points of nonlethal damage due to battering and buffering.
Or perhaps the movie (1994, Jeff Bridges, Tommy Lee Jones).

But, um, never mind!

Edit: This is a joke post, by the way. Carry on....

Well that happens all the time for my brother and me, but that might be because we are in each other's campaigns. He got me the 3.0 DMG and MM for christmas a couple of years ago and I just recently gave him the Penumbra Fantasy Bestiary for his Birthday.

For us it is more that they are appropriate birthday and christmas gifts for family members who like D&D than because we play in each other's games.
