[Blue Devil Games] Dawning Star Preview

At GenCon, Blue Devil Games handed out some pdf previews of its upcoming sci-fi setting, Dawning Star. Now, you can get your hands on the preview by downloading it off our Dawning Star web page.

This will be Blue Devil Games first foray into print publication, and we're flying in with both feet: Dawning Star will be presented in full-color. (The preview pdf is in greyscale to preserve toner.)

If color is an important part of the project -- and it sounds like it is -- I highly recommend getting a color preview up ASAP. You want to blow people away and showing them what you're doing will go a long way toward impressing people with the color work.

We'll be doing just that as we present additional previews over the next month.

Cool. I just know that the color Ronin Arts releases do much better when I show people the color.

BTW, Gary says "hi."

And "hi," back.

Have you had a chance to go through the alien submissions from your open call, or are those still in the "evaluation" phase?
Thanks,

Due to a change in the lead author, the decision on the alien open call has been delayed. Our new lead author, Lee Hammock, and I will be making a decision on them shortly.

The art looks awesome, more previews please!

Thanks. We're ecstatic Gary's work. We anticipate doing a preview a week until the pdf, Operation Quick Launch, is released.

I've seen previews of your other products and I have to say, the quality looks great! Looking forward to picking up some of your stuff soon.

Hopefully this print book does great. Then I can point to your previous books and say, "See, I told you people." and they'll all knod and pretend they knew how cool Poisoncraft was all along.

LOL. Just imagine how much the handful of POD Version 1.0 Poisoncrafts with the inadvertent mind flayer reference will be worth!

BTW - You'll be happy to know we're doing a POD Version 1.2 to put up for sale through Indie Press Revolution, which finally eliminates that dreaded Greater Skill Focus 3.0 errata. (Every time I went to update the book I forgot about that thing.)

In case you haven't heard -- and I don't think it's been formally announced yet, but the site is up -- Indie Press Revolution is just like it sounds: A collection of high-quality indie press publishers banding together to take on the big guys. The website is just up, i.e., as of today I think, so it will be fleshed out in the days to come, but I'm excited about the prospect of teaming up with publishers like Brennan Taylor and Ed Cha to spread the gospel about indie press. Join the Revolution!
