Blur issues

Ok, so my fighting buddy has cast blur on himself, giving him that wonderful 20% miss chance...

I attempt to heal him with a cure light wounds. Does the miss chance apply?

Yup...from the SRD:

"The subject’s outline appears blurred, shifting and
wavering. This distortion grants the subject concealment (20%
miss chance). A see invisibility spell does not counteract the blur effect,
but a true seeing spell does."

Unless you've got a way of seeing through it, your buddy has concealment relative to you.

Can be a bummer.

This is only really an issue if you are trying to heal him in combat, because if you miss him the touch spell isn't discharged. Out of combat you can just swing away a few times until you get him

On a related note, if your fighter buddy works his way up to blink (ring of blinking or whatever) which has a 50% miss chance...I'd strongly recommend that he take potions of healing with him

Some of the touch spell descriptions state that you can touch up to 6 allies per round without problems... so I'd allow several tries
