Where are they listed for each of the classes? Or better yet someone just tell me what they are for crusader, war blade, and sword sage respectively.

Each martial adept class's hit die is located at the top of its advancement table in boldface. Same for prestige classes in the more recent books.

oof just found em. thanks guys, slap in the forhead. I just got the book from a friend and I'm pondering the crusader. I don't like the fact that he is randomly granted prepared maneuvers. I feel like it takes off a lot of your strategical edge. Not only that but randomizing it every turn like that gets tedious. I think i don't like the dynamics of his maneuvers. On the other hand I like the rest of the class features just fine.

Crusaders are the most powerful, but also the most work. It's not just the random maneuvers: you also have to track your Delayed Damage Pool.

It's much less work to run a Warblade or Swordsage.

If you take the Extra Granted Manoever feat, then you'll start combats with three out of your five available manoevers granted, and quickly work through the remaining two. There's still a degree of randomness, but it's not a huge factor. Of course, that will change at higher levels, but you'll have a good handle on the class by then.

Half of the work a crusader does is due to his stances. Which are NOT random. :)

Additionally, out of a grab bag full of good stuff, random is never really bad.

Yeah, though with manoeuvre cards, if *can* be fun, depending how much you enjoy the "what will I get" game. One of my players loved it, when I've run a short Eberron game!

Cheers, LT.

The class features he has makes him the most survivable tank in the game. His bonus to will is great and zealous surge is amazing. The fact that he can smite is killer.
Wow this is what i should have made my centaur. Seems like there are probably lots of wicked combos with his maneuvers. I see a few with lion totem and white raven off the bat.
What are the brokenest combos he's got?

IMO, the random maneuvers available each round can add significantly to the game. It makes the Crusader play like the other Bo9S classes, only more so - that is, unlike other melee classes, they do not tend to do the same thing every round.
