[Bo9S] Martial scripts: prereq for use?

hong

WotC's bitch
Does a character have to meet prerequisites for using a maneuver on a martial script?

Eg: scribe time stands still and give it to the 20th level ftr/barbarian. Walking nuke for up to 1 hour. Seems a bit much for 7650 gp.

He only gets to use it once, right? He can't recover the maneuver, and he can't use it in multiple encounters, right?

7,650 gp for one double-full-attack seems okay... if he could recover it, or if it worked in every fight for 1 hour, that would be crazy strong, but just once? I dunno.

It's Martial Script stances that bug me more, since you can initiate them once and stay in them all day. Assassin's Stance for my rogue? Yes please!

I guess the question is whether it's more appropriate to treat them as analogous to potions or scrolls.

Potions: limited to < 5th level, no personal spells, can be used by anyone, costs SL x CL x 50

Scrolls: no level or target limit, can only be used by spellcaster, costs SL x CL x 25

Scripts cost SL x CL x 50 which is more like potions. But they don't have the target:personal limit (technically nearly every maneuver has target:personal; you can't touch someone and bestow on them the ability to use diamond nightmare blade, for example) and they're not limited by maneuver level.
